About the Chi Lab

Our laboratory is interested in deciphering the functional and mechanistic role of homologous recombination (HR) that governs genomic transactions. HR represents a primary chromosome repair tool that helps eliminate deleterious lesions such as DNA double-strand breaks (DSBs), mediate the restart of stalled or collapsed DNA replication forks, ensure proper meiotic chromosome segregation, and maintain the length of telomeres in some circumstances.

We are committed to creating a mutually supportive community for all of our students, group members, and collaborators. Specifically, "4H" are the values we envision: Hope, Happiness, Harmony, and Homologous recombination.

我們致力於研究基因同源重組(homologous recombination)機制調控生物基因完整性之分子作用機轉。包含受損DNA的修復、停滯之DNA複製的重啟、以及端粒長度的維持;並進一步探討由基因修復失調所引發的癌症之形成、及利用癌細胞基因修復的缺失來達到個人化的精準醫療策略。
